The swine flu is scary but I once was paying bills and the person behind me in line was sick. I thought cold...but has was on her cell phone talking she told the person oh Dr said I have the swine flu  :-. Like no big deal I left cuz I was'nt going to get sick cuz she was careless, and thoughtless.

I work a day job dealing with the public and we have items we pass back and forth all day
Talk about germs!!!

Lysol and hand sanitizers only go so far

I can't stand slobs who come in coughing, sneezing and wiping their noses
Then they want to shake your hand when you make a sale

I had swine flu a couple months ago. I missed three days of school. It's not as bad as everyone says. I just felt tired and had a headache. The test is horrible though. They take a long skinny q-tip way up your nose. lol

i work in a hospital and I didn't get it -- i didn't get the vaccine either -- a co-worker of mine had it really bad - missed about 10 days of work and all of her children had it.

I was never tested, but there was a very high chance I had it.  A friend even spent the night while I felt like dying because I was so ill.  I had almost all the symptoms, but we'll never know.  I got the vaccine afterward just in case.

No lie....my 60+ yro aunt just finished having surgery to remove some cancer from her breast and had finished the 30 day chemo. She had to get chemo twice a day mon thru fri, so her immune system was shot. She then got sick and went to the dr and he told her that she had swine flu and to stay at home for a week and take the meds he gave her.

After finding this out, I don't really believe it is that bad. I mean, I'm sure it's not a walk in the park, but still...

One of my friends thought he had swine flu but I am not sure I believe him.  It was way over hyped I think.

My grand son had it about 3 months ago, very sick.  He was in the hospital for 4 days, but now he is totally fine, and no one else in the family caught it.

my sister got it on her 21st birthday. before she started drinking she was throwing up. she was sick for about a week, it wasn't serious or anything no hospitalization. just a lot of rest.

Unless I am misunderstanding, why would she even start drinking if she had already been throwing up?!

YES! I know a couple people that have had it...they said it was bad, although most said it was just like flu, only slightly worse...however, it can take a couple days to feel better.
One a more recent note, there is talk about the possibility of another wave coming soon, so I would still
recommend the shot-I got one for free, and I've heard it's safe...my only thought now is to know how long it's good for...is it going to be like the flu where we need one every year or what...?
