I Totally Agree, but it seems as it people don't care what they say now days. (They just want to see what they can get away with.)It was rude and stereotypical. You should never judge a Race based on one person. I wish we all could just get along, but that may never happen because of people like him.

The only reason I see it as a big deal is because Lott was forced out of office because of something just like this.  I am tired of the double standards and people playing the race card.  It was a stupid thing for him to say but people make mistakes all the time.  I am sure we have all told a race related joke before but that doesn't mean we are racist.  Plus, a lot of times anything can be taken out of context and people will construe it to be something completely different than how it was intended.

I frequent a lot of message boards and the amount of racial slander is amazing! I thought maybe we all had grown a bit but sometimes I think we haven't changed a bit since the 50"s or the pre civil rights movement. So sad and inexcusable from a public figure who has the responsibility of keeping his own personal opinion out of public discourse.

Sadly no matter what there will always be ignorant people on this planet, eliminating them is not an option though.....is it?  :confused1:
