Manual Credit
« on: November 20, 2007, 02:04:39 pm »
I was just wondering your guys' experience with manual credit.  If it's done correctly (sending FC the e-mail with the headers, etc) How often do you end up getting credit?

I submitted an e-mail for manual credit yesterday for BMG, and I know it can take 4-6 weeks (or however many FAQ says), but I'm just wondering, if I did everything right, what the chances are that I'll be credited :-)

Hey! I'm a Jr. Member now! woo hoo!

I'm going through the same thing with Columbia House DVD Club.  Not only did it not credit... but CH charged my credit card... and now they're totally denying they did even though I checked my transaction history and I KNOW they did.  I did some research on the company and I'm not the only one having issues with them.  Just a word of caution!

Some manual credits I have gotten quickly. On the other hand, I am waiting on 5 more manual credits! Two of them go back to july and still say PENDING! Has anyone else had this problem? I am waiting on, Netflix,Zooba,00inkjets, Myinks, and Bidz.com.Anyone gotten these? It stinks because they are big ones. It makes me very hesitant to try any more.On a more positive note, I got credited for the Vistaprints holiday cards offer. The cards are very nice too,if anyone is wondering!

Well, my question wasn't really how long it takes to credit...Just how likely I am to be credited at all.

I did Columbia House and I was credited about 6 days after doing the offer...

I was also credited for Zooba and Bidz right away...

BMG is the only "over $7" offer that didn't credit on it's own for me.

Columbia House DVD is know to screw people. They tried to take my son several times and I had to write a nasty letter to them and report to the BBB. I will never do business with them!

My experience with Columbia House so far is good.  I received credit about 6 days after completing the offer and I've already received my DVD's.

So if it says no manual credit and even if you finish it... will you still get credit?  I am confused... it told me to wait after 7 days, then after that i got a message saying i have to wait again for 6 weeks... then another problem i have is when i try no cc required like $1.25 and a $7.00, i still did not get instant credit even if I finished it all!!!! i am confused!!! am i still going to get credit for it?!!!

As far as I've seen, it always says "ineligible for manual credit" even if it is.  The way you know if it really is or not is if there's a countdown (7 more days, 3 more days, etc).  Then the offer was for more than $7 and you can request manual credit once it's been 7 days.

so if its not more than $7.00 and its suppose to be instant credit, and it won't credit you for some reason, I'm not gonna get it anymore even if I completed it?  sorry for the question... i am just confused  :sad1:

Ask as many questions as you want. That's what the forum is for :-)

But you are correct.  If the offer is under $7 and it doesn't credit, you can't ask for manual credit....Because you can just imagine how time-consuming it would be for FC to have to contact their partners over every 25 cent offer that didn't credit....
