I was lucky enough to have one child (my son).  I always wanted more but it just wasn't in the cards for me.  I would have loved to have had a little girl, too.    However, my son is a terrific young man who just joined the USAF in September 2009.  He's 21 now and we are very proud of him and his commitment to serving his country.  He's coming home for a visit later this month before he heads off to his first duty assignment at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  We haven't seen him since he left for basic in September.  We've seen photos and he's changed so much and looks great.  Can't wait to put my arms around him and hold him tight.  His dad will probably have to peel me off of him.  I've missed his so much.  So hard to let them go when they grow up....

We have four children......3 girls and 1 boy. 

Our son is active Army and our youngest daughter just finished basic training so I know how you feel pabpaj!  Those first reunions after they have been away to basic are sweet!

OMG you are such a brave mom ! I only have one son. He is 9 yrs old and I love him to death. I am 45 and I don't think I am getting another child. I would be blessed with a little girl - I have this name reserved for her all my life, which is my password to all my sites. I would die if my son would join the  USAF. OMG every day every minute he would be in my prayers - this even brought tears to my eyes. May God keep your son safe every day of his life. I REALLY ADMIRE YOUR BRAVERY.  Stay blessed !
