To your question:
I love cats too!
Don't have quite as many.

Right now, only two indoor/outdoor and one outdoor.

Mostly because I'm covered in dogs at the moment

I get into trouble for having too  many.. people dump them here, and I take them in.. and then the animal control man screams at me.. and then I have a heart attck.. and then I warn the animal control officer that he abused a disabled person, and if he does it again I will sue the county, and he will lose his job... So yes, I like cats.

I forget where I read this, but there's a way to build an outdoor shelter that'll be quite warm for a stray cat. It involves getting two large Tupperware-type storage bins, one that will fit inside the other, and I believe the space in between the bins is stuffed with straw/spare blankets/etc. Then cut a door for the cat to get in and out, and I'd leave a blanket or two inside it as well. I'm sure there's clearer directions online somewhere.

Then again, if you're able to catch and rehome the little one, do it! There's many strays in my neighbourhood, and I'd take them all in if my two cats weren't already almost too much for my apartment to handle!
