Sooo!! My sister in law and i are really close she is my best friend. But i have no idea what to get her for Christmas i know what she likes but she has everything in my opinion so idk what to get her i crochet and knit so i was thinking of making her something but idk maybe some ideas from you would help me thanks.

Its hard to buy a gift for someone that you think has everything. Not knowing what she likes makes it even harder. I have that problem with some family members so I normally get them a gift card to their favorite store, or I'll pay a bill for them like electric bill. Making a gift by crocheting something is also a great idea.....last year I knitted a lovely purse for my sister and she loves it (so she says).

Hmm.. i think ima try the handmade gift. I kinda know wat she would like cuz she has been saying she is gonna make it her self but she never has the time she is a new mommy,has a job and is attending college too so she is very busy Thanks for your input.

Since you have mentioned you can crochet and knit, why don't you knit her a scarf, ski cap, or whatever she can wear or something she can use?

Many years ago a dear friend of mine who is good with arts and craft knitted a tissue box cover with the image of Bugs Bunny. She also knitted my name on the back. I always like gifts that are thoughtfully made. In my opinion, the best gifts are always from the heart. It doesn't have to be an expensive item.

Why not a donation in her name to a charity which may have some importance to her? Many charities now will even send you a pack to give to the person when you tell them it's a gift in their name you are making. What's better than giving the gift of giving at Christmas? Especially when the person has everything he/she already wants.

Go shopping with her and ask her to pick something that she would personally like for "someone else you know" and give that gift to her.

She won't expect it.

There is a old joke that the best thing that you can get a person that has everything is a crack pipe..........because next year they will need everything (because they will trade everything they have for drugs) this is a joke of course, I would never recommend drugs to a person.

find a great philanthropic cause and do a nice donation or multiple donations in their name.

it will do them good if even they don't realize it.

i am starting to do it more and more. the benefits go far beyond any monetary compensation.

it will grow your soul.

i have the same problem with my husband every year. i ask what he wants and he says he doesn't want anything. so i send in the troops. i have my 9 year old son start pestering him for stuff he likes and i usually end up with a pretty good list of things he'll use. i also keep a list of anything he mentions that he likes/wants/needs throughout the year so this works for father's day, birthday and anniversary!

as for my sister, i just invite her over for dinner, make her favorite food and desserts, have a few glasses of wine with her, and then she plays with mykids while i clean up. everyone wins!

I have had a couple people to shop for that has everything and I now do one of two things for people I shop for that have everything. I make a Movie basket for the guys a basket, a DVD, a couple bags of popcorn, a box of there favorite candy, and a soda can they like it cause they can just relax. For the females a bath basket that includes bath salts, loofa, candles, and fragrance spray, It has never failed me good luck finding something

I would give her a photo gift...maybe put your favorite picture of you 2 or her kids or somin on a mug or blanket or make a calender they do it at walmart and theres online places

I like this one a lot she just had her first baby and she would love something to do with the baby thanks..
