Black Friday Shopping?
« on: November 30, 2009, 02:17:11 am »
Did anyone else go shopping on Black Friday and almost get run over. I had a bad experience at Target where a whole group of people stormed the doors when they weren't even in line and threatened me, my sister and pregnant cousin, cuz we were pointing them out to security, the lady was trying to get me to hit her and her friend even threated to punch my sister in the face. I'm sorry that is not civilized, rude and should not be tolerated.

Anyone Else have such an bad experience, share?

Actually mine was pretty good. We were planning on going to Target to get that Westinghouse tv that was really cheap. But we stopped at my mother-in-laws house and were talking about it and my husbands step dad just ended up giving us his. So that saved us from having to sit out there.

We ended up going to the mall and we got a really good parking spot, then when we went to JC Penny's everyone we talked to was really nice. Which ended up making me really nice and I ended up giving an ad to a lady who was looking for one and giving another lady a coupon I had printed out before I left the house because I had another one. The best part was that I was able to get this really great deal on a leather jacket for my husband's step dad.

After that we went home and geared up to go out again. I was able to get that Fifa 10 game for my husband that was cheap at Best Buy. It was the last one we could find too. After that though our car battery died  :P . But this nice guy in the tree lot helped us jump start it. So it wasn't too bad.

Yup hubby woke me up early and made me go with him.  Ugg there were so many crazy people out there.  I was like the world was going to end if they didn't get that one specific item.  I was just there to humor him.  we got some good deals, but I would have been happier sleeping :P

I went to the "midnight madness" sales at our local outlet stores. I've never done that before and I never will again! Man, that was CRAZY!!! Black Friday was no big deal in my area, there was basically no wait at my local Target and all the "hot" items were still available at 9 am.

I did black friday shopping once a couple of years  ago and made a promise to myself that I would never do something that crazy again.  There were too many people and the lines were too long and the waiting frustrating.  Never again.  I do most of my shopping online.

My husband and I didn't plan to go shopping on Black Friday....but he needed to get something ordered in time for the upcoming Farm Show he is participating in.  We were worried it would be crazy in town, BUT no, it was not.

We felt it was normal activity at midmorning in the mall.

Perhaps the crazy busy time is the 12am-4am time??

I've been shopping on Black Friday for years.  What I don't have a game plan for is Cyber Monday.  How can you find out where the good deals are?

Don't have many people to shop for so I am not that affected but will do some shopping early in the mornings to avoid the huge crowds.
