birthday cake vs. cheesecake
« on: November 29, 2009, 11:06:52 am »
my son wants a birthday cake for my husband's birthday - my husbands favorite is cheesecake although he doesn't really care which he has.

what is your choice?   traditional birthday cake or a yummy homemade cheesecake?

I made the cheesecake - it is cooling in the oven.  I made it with a pecan crust -- :) hopefully he likes it

My last birthday cake was a home made Raspberry Cheese cake. It was super cool and I loved it. I have gotten bored of the store made cakes. Of course they are all pretty n fancy but I feel there's no love in it...:binkybaby:

Honestly, when throwing a part for someone else I always choose something they like, it is their birthday after all.  If your husband loves cheesecake then get him cheesecake!  There is always your birthday or your son's birthday for you guys to have cake.  On my birthday I get to choose what kind of cake I want (last b-day I got a red velvet cake with vanilla frosting, white chocolate shavings on it, and dusted with some red yummy something lol ).  So I say let the birthday person decide!

Cheesecake would be my choice.  Just a slice of Sara Lee is good for me, I am not hard to please.

I love cheese cake!!  8)  If you can, get a small one of them both, or buy what your hubby wants then have you and your son make a homemade cake too!!

Cheesecake since it is his favorite. I would personally pick a cheesecake with strawberries on top over a birthday cake, but if it is to have more fun with then a birthday cake just to decorate

Cheesecake sounds fantastic! Plus, if that's his favorite, go for it. ;)
