What is the best press release format?
« on: June 12, 2023, 06:45:00 am »

I've been reading up on how to do press releases, and finding lots of tips about writing, content, media to include, etc. But I have not seen much consensus on the format of the actual press release email.

    1. Should the email be in plain text format or html format with images/embedded video/etc.?
    2. Should I have a short intro email that links to a beautiful, fancy html webpage version of the press release?

    Thanks!

Save your energy, Press Releases are for the Press, not common every day folks. Anything you write is going to be seen as Click Bait trying to scam unsuspecting suckers into throwing their money away.

Hey there! Press release formats can vary, but here are some tips for the email:
Keep it simple: Plain text format works well as it ensures compatibility across different email clients.
Grab attention: Make the subject line catchy and concise to encourage the opening.
Include key information: Summarize the press release in the email body, highlighting the most important details.
Add links: Include relevant hyperlinks within the email to direct readers to additional resources or a webpage version of the press release if desired.
You can use the examples here (https://prwire.co/new-hire-press-release-examples-to-get-noticed/) to write the release. I hope it helps!
