Daylight Savings Time 2nd Sunday in March

I just read this yesterday online. It's from CBS News if you want to confirm.

Washington — The Senate on Tuesday unanimously approved a bill that would make Daylight Saving Time permanent beginning in November 2023, a significant leap forward in the push to ensure an extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day all year round.

The bill, known as the Sunshine Protection Act, earned 17 cosponsors from both parties in the upper chamber and was passed by unanimous consent. Senator Marco Rubio, a Republican from Florida, has long been a proponent of making the clock change permanent and led the push to pass the bill.

"The good news is if we can get this passed, we don't have to keep doing this stupidity anymore," Rubio said on the Senate floor. "Hopefully this is the year that this gets done and, pardon the pun, but this is an idea whose time has come."

it hasn't passed the house yet, but did pass in the senate. It will be nice to stay the same all year.

Daylight Saving Time ENDS 2022 in the United States

On March 15, 2022, the U.S. Senate passed the bill unanimously. Currently, it still needs to be discussed by U.S. House of Representatives before it can be signed into law by the President. If the bill were to pass in the next year, permanent Daylight Saving Time would take effect on November 5, 2023.

Love it or hate it, most of us have learned to live with switching our clocks twice a year. Arizona and Hawaii don't observe daylight saving time, but hey, they get lots of sunlight anyway!

I like it when the sun comes up soon in the morning but when it get dark before 5 pm it makes the nights longers and it seems like bed time will never get here.  It always seems like that every year till I get use to it.  I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving.

I want more sunlight at night. I hate it getting dark at 5:30. I want time to enjoy my evenings. I don't care about getting light earlier in the morning. I am sleeping anyway.
