I work for fedex and another company so they consider us essential. They reduced hrs to protected hrs. We even have a letter stating we essential in case cops pull me over

That's the stupidity of the situation. ALL jobs are essential to those who have them!

My Dad is an essential worker. He is being paid most of his salary, but he only works 2-3 days per week. He works in Amgen in the food area and wears masks and gloves all provided by work.

Stay safe, OP. Personally, I am not mission-essential personnel. My job has me work remotely and calls me in when needed. However, I know a few people in health care and they are reporting in. Praying for their safety.

I am on full retirement and recovering from surgery anyway, so timing was right for me. I still pray this could be put behind us very soon and feel for those who need to face it head-on.

I'm retired, but my daughter and son-in-law are considered essential workers.  My daughter owns a convenience store that sells gas and my son-in-law drives a tractor trailer truck for Dominos.

thanks to everyone on the front line - I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home. Hope we are all back in the world pretty soon.

I was supposed to work last week but luckily they extended the leave of absence for April as well so I took it.  I was scared to go to work honestly so I'm happy I can stay home.  I don't have to go back until June and hopefully it will be safer then.

I find the term "essential" so funny and not in the haha way.  I feel if you are working anywhere, you are essential. Or doesn't it count for anything.
