Environmental De-Regulation
« on: June 02, 2020, 06:07:16 am »
The Trump administration has launched a dangerous attack on Americans' ability to participate in decisions that affect their homes, health, and environment.  The White House proposed gutting the National Environmental Policy Act, a 50 year old law that requires major public land, ocean, and infrastructure projects such as bridges, freeways, and pipelines to undergo rigorous environmental review.  The rewritten law would restrict public input on key decisions, narrow the scope of scientific review, and allow companies to author their own analyses.

Acknowledge, love, and protect and support your planet while it is decent for living.  For those of you who are religious, surely God gave it to us to be good custodians.

I work for EPA and is not only that but, water regulations that went into effect after Flint, he also wants to eliminate them again.  And many others (especially any that was implemented during the previous administration).

President Trump is treading on very dangerous ground with this decision. The DNA of our nation demands that citizens get a say in governmental decisions, even if it's only through their senators and/or their representatives. This is the kind of thing that the founders of our nation were very concerned about when they set up our Constitution. I pity the fool who tries to mess with environmental protections, especially nowadays. I'm not a Trump supporter or a Trump detractor, but I know a bad undertaking when I see one!  :peace:

Yes he had been rolling back a lot of regulations.  Why I don't know because it makes no sense to harm the environment and put more people in danger of getting sick or worse. I hope When Biden gets in he will stop this nonsense.

He is rolling a lot of epa regulations back, I think it is so he and his rich friends can make more without having to clean up after they are done.
