More New Technology

I took another step up today when I set up my new Garmin tracking device and synchronized it to my phone as well as provided reports to my cardiology team. I tried until I was blue in the face to get a pulse reading I was confident in, now I just need to look at a screen. My wife has used a FitBit for years, but I never wanted to spend the money until I got this one as part of my surgery and treatment the Insurance paid $120,000 for. However I did order a new Motorola Moto G6 Smartphone to sync it to, since I got it on sale for $99 and my old G4 was about 5 years old and starting to fall apart.

I am so thankful to live in this modern age.

Yes, it seems so much can be synced to our phones these days. I use the app that was pre installed on my smartphone to keep up with my steps walking every day. I can link other health info, heartrate, bp etc.. I just have not taken the time to do so; but hey seem to be a good way to monitor ones health on a daily bases.

Living in the modern age is great, isn't it? We tell our sons stories about the much more technology-less years of our childhood and they can hardly believe it. Like if you wanted to watch TV, you had to watch one of three or four channels and no rewinding or fast-forwarding through anything. Like if you wanted to listen to music, you either listened to the radio or you bought albums or 45 rpm records to listen to on your turntable. Like if you wanted to know something or another, either you had a set of outdated encyclopedias to reference or you got on your bike and pedaled to the library, LOL!

And when you got to the library they showed you their outdated encyclopedias to reference, but at least you didn't have them gathering dust on your bookshelves after spending several hundred dollars with a slick talking door to door salesman.

Technology is great. I would like to have a Fitbit but don't want to spend the money.

i love new technology..had a fitbit for years..upgraded to the versa..i want a apple watch...that will come later

I bought my husband an Iwatch for Christmas.  He's a tech guy who loves his gadgets!  I have an inexpensive Fitbit that was given to me at work when I joined a fitness challenge.  Personally, I LOVE my fitbit.  It's so easy to set up and use.  I don't think I could live without it!  Ha!

my tablet didn't work well today amazing how much we depend on technology. There are new things out a  bot that delivers food from restaurants to people . it travels about 3 to 4 miles per hour. think there in san fran showed a few going done the street . looks like a box with wheels .
