Slight Miscalculation
« on: May 05, 2020, 11:46:11 am »
Two weeks ago: "Now we're going toward 50--I'm hearing, or 60,000 people. One is too many. I always say it.". I don't think it should be said by anyone other than qualified medical personnel/infectious disease experts.  Latest death count is at seventy one thousand and one hundred and forty eight. Twenty seven percent of those afflicted are dying. Today we have had eleven thousand and seven hundred and thirty five new cases which, at twenty seven percent, equates to over three thousand and forty four more deaths. I have read several posts on Fusion Cash stating that CoVid 19 is nothing more than a cold/flu which is not correct. The death rate from seasonal flu is one tenth of one percent which is a bit different than the current tenty seven percent mortality rate. The infection fatality rate, per researchers from Columbia University, translates to six tenths of a percent which, on the lower end, is still six times higher than the flu.

It is scary and I agree with you.  It’s not ‘just like the flu’ there are more people dying from this than the flu.  We were never told to wear masks during the flu, we never cancelled schools, closed  stores, Stopped weddings and funerals with the flu.
