My first time getting the Flu shot was last year, i'm 57 and never got it until last year, i thought i was gonna get sick from it, but honestly, i didn't. But I have an Aunt who gets the flu shots every year and it does her really bad, it last for a couple weeks, then she have to go to the Dr. She be all stuffed up, coughing, sneezing, runny nose, can hardly breathe, but i tell her she shouldn't get them but she does anyway.

I get the flu shot every year, and have never gotten sick from it.  The Flu shot does not prevent you from getting sick but it helps you from getting the worse case scenario.  And it is not a shot to help with stomach virus, it is a different type of illness.  I have not yet gotten the Shingles shot but I will since I did have the chicken pox when I was a kid. And I will put anything else that my doctor would recommend.

As for the HPV it is offer to children, I think they say it should be given to children between 9 and 13 years old.  I gave permission for my 2 daughters to get the shots and thank God they had no ill effects from it.

I take everything that is recommended and I'm healthy as a small horse waiting to be kicked. Fortunately, I've never had adverse side effects from any vaccines.

Eat right; exercise; die anyway. But I believe in being healthy on the journey.  :P

I have a weakened immune system so I get flu and pneumonia for that.  Dh works in a jail where the inmates have had every disease imaginable including hepatis so we all get vaccinated for that.

GET VACCINATED!!!! there are people like myself who aren't able to get vaccines and we rely on the fact other people get vaccinated so that we don't catch these diseases and dieeeee.

The flu shot does not give you the flu. it is an inactive virus. If you have flue like symptoms it's your immune system responding to the vaccine giving you soreness and maybe a mild fever and aches but that's not the flu. the flu shot can't give you the flu. if you really are convinced you have the flu then you contracted the virus before getting the shot. this is simple science people stop ignoring it

it also doesn't necessarily prevent the flu but it makes it a whole lot better if you do contract the virus after you've been vaccinated. This is simple research. do yourselves a favor and get educated.

please get vaccinated for people like me's sake. I can't myself as i am immunocompromised and it wouldn't do anything.

lol.  I love it when people scream get vaccinated at others and in the same breath say they don't take vaccinations and have all these reasons.  Others who do not run take everything they come out with have their reasons as well.

As I said the childhood vaccines that we all got or should have got I do not have any issues with.  But seems every time you turn around they are pushing another vaccine on people.  The shingles one was the latest one I heard about.  I actually am wondering if THAT is not why there seems to be such a huge outbreak of that.  All of a sudden they have this new vaccine. People go get the shot.  They get shingles.  Then say oh well it would have been worse without the shot.  NO, stay away from people who are sick and don't get the shot and you should be fine!

No, I do not get all the vaccines that Doctors say you should get.  You have to remember that Doctors are not God.  It's mostly a game and greed.

I had Pneumonia vaccines and get flu shots every year, but never had any reactions. Since I am diabetic and over 80 it's highly advised, so I do it. I refuse the Shingles shot, because I never had Chicken Pox as a kid.

The only vaccine that I get is the annual flu shot. One of my relatives received the flu shot, the shingles shot, and the pneumonia shot (not all at once, LOL) in the previous two years.
