I would love to have a whole house generator, but I can't afford one. We live way out in the Country here in N.E. Georgia around the Mountains. When we have any kind of storms our lights always go out. It takes them so long to get way out here to restore our lights. Everything is electric in my home so we can't do anything at all when our lights go out. In those times, I really wish that I had a generator.

We have a getaway spot in a neighborhood where the electricity goes off all the time.  I don't understand why the location is so susceptible, but it is.  Several people in our neighborhood have generators for that reason.  I would like to have one, too.  I can't leave anything in the refrigerator for fear of the electricity going off and my not knowing about it.  It can be off for a couple of days at a time.
