I am normally okay going over bridges. However, in my state of Michigan, the American Society of Civil Engineers did a study of our infrastructure and we are in very poor condition. From what I understand, much of the country is in the same condition. Since it's going to take both federal and state money to remedy this situation, politicians have delayed and delayed and kicked the can down the road. In the end, for example, Michigan has an overall grade of D+ for our infrastructure. Twenty-seven other states were surveyed so far and none are in good shape. Even with the poor shape of roads and bridges, water and sewage systems, and communications infrastructure, some people here in Michigan are having fits that they may have to somehow help pay for this.
