Joe, I don't think that is healthy, anyone doing that should seek Dr's advice before putting that hot in your eye. Could hurt your retinas or corneas.

Do you have sleep apnea? I know that can cause sleepiness during the day. Also narcolepsy.

You can also try going into GNC and getting energy pills. I've started taking vitamins to get me going throughout the day and they actually work.

i have this problem but later in the afternoon around 3 pm when i  dont get enough sleep

I know this is going to sound kinda counter-intuitive, but have you considered that you are getting too much sleep at night? As weird as it sounds you can actually be tired from getting too much sleep. My only other theory is that maybe something is causing you to wake up in the middle of one of your sleep cycles. You would feel groggy and tired at various points of the day if that is happening.

Thats correct, laying in bed for too much time will make your body muscles become weaker so therefore, explain why you may have to sleep all the time, however chemical changes in your body will play a big role as well.

What time do you go to bed?  Have you tried going to bed earlier?  Getting enough rest is so very important for good health and well being.
