Strangers at the door

I, too, don't answer the phone unless I recognize the number.  If they leave some message that tells me what it is about and I am not interested, I block the number.  I treat people who knock at my door similarly because I live alone and am not particularly young anymore and I know seniors often get targeted.  I will say that I have a strong screen door with a lock on it and it is always locked.  However, after getting caught in a high pressure sales situation and a Jehovah's Witness who would not take a hint and walk away, I just rarely answer my door if I am not expecting anyone.

Janice as you know i support Gods organization.YES Gods name is Jehovah whether you believe it or not.That being said Jesus taught his people to bid those kindly good day and shake the dust off their feet to those that were NOT interested in the truth.There can always be an exception with some that are over zealous.Even the apostles erred and needed discipline from Jesus.Jesus also said many in the truth would turn away or drop out as the end came near.Now i dont know if the person you speak of would eventually become that way,but many cast a cloud on the whole organization because a few dont adhere to Jesus words.There are crooked cops but NOT all are that way.Many that hate the truth jump on the chance to slam them if someone got out of line.Again they are told to obey what Jesus said.Not interested?See ya!God tested Abrahams love for him if he would sacrifice his son for him.He stopped him when Abraham proved he would.

Too bad you cant look at it this way........if your house was on fire and u werent aware would you welcome a life saving warning?In the last days Jesus said there would be a cooling off of love.People get attacked in crowds with many just walking away.The spirit of paranoia fills the earth today.This preaching is worldwide and quite organized.If you cant see God directs it you only show what side you are on.

Oh 1 last thing.I hope i am wrong but your post will probably create a foolish post from a foolish person.

If someone comes my door that I don[t know, I just don[t answer the door.  I don[t want to be bothered by someone trying to sell something or someone pushing their faith on me because I have my own church and beliefs.

Never, ever do I answer the door when it's a stranger!  I don't care if they can hear noise from inside the house I still don't open the door!

The scammers and criminals have made it impossible to answer your phone or open your door.  You have to be very careful.  I don't answer my door because you never know who is on the other side.

I will never and I mean never go to the door unless I know who it is. I have a no soliciting sign in the window if the person reads the sign and still knocks well that just goes to show either they do not know what no soliciting means or they do not respect my wishes. I do not have time for criminals. I do not want to be hurt either. Sadly this world has come down to not being able to trust people.
