It sort of sneaks up on you.  I don't feel old, as long as I avoid the mirror  :D

The body doesn't heal as fast, yes.  But that doesn't mean you should bury yourself before you're time.  Start taking time to just do things that make yourself happy to balance the stress.  Remain active helps and if that means you need pills/cane/braces/ then take/wear them but don't allow negative to drain the years you would otherwise have.

I just keep reminding myself what my Grandma used to tell me (I keep her picture on a shelf I walk by every time I go to my computer), "Gettiing old is not for SISSIES"

I have found my faith helps me considerably with aging and everything else.  I have been watching Joyce Meyer for the past several months, Amazing!

Sometimes, I miss my younger years. At the same time, I do not think I would trade them for the older years...when I was younger, things were much more stressful (strange, I know). It's unfortunate that I have to be older in order to enjoy more freedom, ugh. Anyway, life moves on.

Getting older is not exactly a piece of cake nor necessarily what they call "golden."  Considering the alternative, I'm just trying to make the best out of it.  Some days are alright while others are not the best. I miss some of the social contact I used to have. Sometimes I am reminded only by looking in the mirror.  I know I need to start exercising again.  I have not been keeping up on exercise the last year or two as I did before, and as a medical professional, I know that exercise is very important in keeping your body working.

We all have gotten older, no way to stop it.  And younger adults do not want to listen to or hear you advising them about their mistakes.  I fully believe in leaving them to learn all, the hard way.

I turn 69 this year and am so busy every day that I don't have time to think about my aging.  Been having aches and pains most of my life.  Always worked out, danced, took physical activity classes.  Pulled ligaments, strains, sprains, so joint pains aren't nothing new to me, just getting worse but I don't stop moving.  And, who doesn't age?

Since I have started getting older, I have been having a lot of Health Issues which I do not like at all. I miss my younger years. You never had to worry about your Health going down hill.

I agree with most of you.  Getting old has made me realize how many mental, health, and psychical issues that I had for a while.  Got the PTSD from getting beat pretty much all my life.  Which, probably developed my Borderline Personality Disorder.  Went into a 4-day coma had Keto acid dosis.  Which means my sugars were around 585.  Found out I was claustrophobic when then wheeled me into the tube.  I have depression, anxiety.  You could say I take enough pills to call me a walk in pharmacy.  Have moderate arthritis in my left hip region.  Ya, so much fun.  And a lot of this stuff I didn't find out until after 45 most of it.  And on top of it, I am a disabled Veteran who is 100% but the State of California doesn't agree with our lovely government.  So, I have to go battle with the State to try and get my SSI.  Ya, so much fun isn't it?
