Exercise equipment
« on: January 20, 2019, 03:18:37 am »
Do you have exercise equipment in your home that you cannot use for reasons due to health issues or just not using at all? I have some equipment that I cannot use for health reasons. The one thing i do like to do is walk at the mall early in the morning. I have not been able to do that lately because of my health, but now that i am going to the doctor, i am hoping that will change in a few weeks. Walking is so peaceful, only a few senior citizens walking. I can either listen to the mall music and walk or my own from my phone or mp3.

I feel the same way:Exercise equipment is very risky...sometimes it just very dangerous!
I try to walk as much as I can because it is the best natural exercise you can do.
Make sure your floor is not slippery and other hazards.
Wear the right foot wear for safety reasons.

Why did you start a new thread of the exact same question you already asked?  Unless we lived in the same area it would cost you more to get it shipped to you than you could buy a new one for in your area.

Look in to give aways in your area.  I do not know where you live so I can't tell you what they are but almost every town has some where that people can advertise give a ways where it is you can have this if you will come and get it.

Personally, my exercise stuff serves quite nicely as a clothes rack. lol

I have a treadmill in the basement.  I used to use it regularly.  Right now I have one of the kids living with us in the basement so haven't used the treadmill.

After a few months of use, I turned my treadmill into a clothes rack.  Very useful.

I have a full weight cent with preacher curl set up and inclining, declining bench, eighteen dumb bells, a bow flex, stationary recumbent life cycle and a tread mill. I use the life cycle at least four times a week, the bow flex once a week and the weights one to two times a week.I walk my two golden retrievers for an hour every day.  I also have a membership at a tennis club that has every manner of health torture machine available on the market as well as a hot tub, swimming pool, steam room and dry sauna. Working all the time gets in the way of working out as much as I like. I aim to get at least one hundred and fifty minutes of exercise in per week which is what the presidential council on fitness recommends in order to minimize many health issues.

I feel better now knowing that I am not alone with all the equipment that I don't use.  I have enough to open a gym myself.  I keep telling myself....tomorrow.

The only time we ever had a treadmill thing in the house, everyone used it for a couple of weeks and then it became a storage area... few years passed and suddenly we said hey, why do we even have this dusty monstrosity in here forever? and got rid of it.

Does the fit board really help to lose weight? I was thinking about buying one but wasn't sure. How is it working for you cadence4u?

I don't have any exercise equipement at home. Sometimes I am tempted to buy one, but then I wonder if it is really worth it because you do not need exercise equiptment to work out.
