Because if you don't eat right, you pay the price.

I was thinking the same thing. Hopefully he will change his diet.

Good answer OldBuddy.  I put posts in the wrong place too when I first started this fc.

Good one, oldbuddy!!!  Many years ago, I started counting fat grams, in particular saturated fats.  I check every label and if it has a high amount of saturated fat (over 2 or 3 grams per serving), I won't buy it.  I am trying to control my cholesterol without drugs. I don't even like fatty foods any more.  You couldn't pay me to eat a donut!  Well, maybe...if the amount was right, but there's one thing for sure.  If you don't have a burning desire to eat healthily, it's extremely difficult to find the self discipline to succeed.  I do hope your son will have that light bulb moment, and start making healthier choices.

I too have a fatty liver.  Decreasing how often I eat sweets and desserts has helped with that.  I don't eat desserts daily anymore.

Fast food is addictive but it's important to keep veggies and fruits in his diet.

In my experience; healthy food (and a healthy lifestyle) can also be addictive, in a positive way. Diet and exercise (or lack of it) is very habitual.

Very difficult to change eating habits. My son who is in his 40's now has been insulin dependant diabetic since 5. When I gave him his insulin and provided his food, his blood sugars were great. Of course at some point in life they decide to do what they want. After years of not taking care of himself, he now has neuropathy and other conditions related to his diabetes. He tries to really watch himself now but the damage is done. My advice to your son...take care of it NOW because nothing good will come of poor eating habits. I am just as bad...its very hard to stop doing what you like...just try and try hard!!

The longer he takes to change his eating habit, the more issues he have to face later down in life..
