I have wanted to grow my own. I planted four seeds in a wet towel, and sprouted them. They did not grow after transplanting in a lil pot.

I emailed the company, and they told me it is very hard to actually grow stevia at home from seed, either way. Also that it takes a long time for it to sprout up.

I planted my last four seeds in a little pot of organic potting soil, and have one little one coming up.

I baby it, and check on it twice daily. It is happy under grow lights.

Hope it makes it to adult hood.

It's an acquired taste. I use to think I tasted something weird after but then consuming it for a while you get use to it I suppose..lol

I never tough any of that  stuff.  Although hubby does, he doesn't like the stevia at all, nor the Splenda.  But will use the generic Walmart brand . Too me it all taste  horrible.  Of course I don't like sugar  in any drinks of any kind. And no soda. I know I am different but oh well to each his own,

  :glasses-nerdy:  :silly: Yes I've tried it, personally I don't prefer to use Stevia. I've not tasted a bitter taste to it. I would rather have sugar over this Stevia. Hope you get the answers you were looking for.   :glasses-nerdy:  :silly:

I used Stevia on my Rice Krispies yesterday at breakfast.  I did not notice an aftertaste.  I also had fresh peach slices on my cereal so having natural sweetness from the peaches may have covered any aftertaste, if there was any.

I use Stevia all the time.  It's supposed to be healthier than the other fake sugars and my kids are always on my case about using Splenda and Equal so I've switched.  Still get the Splenda in my diet pops, though, but, I think Stevia will, eventually, get there, too.  I have not noticed an aftertaste withit.
