That's why it is best to shop online if your size is not an average... pick & choose & avoid the aggravation of finding your size at the store -- but beware that sizes from China or Europe are much smaller than what is sold in the USA.

I don't see why it would be discriminatory for Kmart not to sell plus sizes, retail is based on what sells... being any kind of weight is not a protected class in the USA.  I'll have to look that one up. 

Ordering online doesn't mean youll get what you want either. There are several times ive ordered something online and it doesn't fit well even thou you ordered it in your size.

They need to force clothing and shoe stores to use a standard sizing.  This vanity sizing to make over weight women feel better about themselves is foolish.  It doesn't matter if the size in the jeans says 10 if you weigh 250 pounds you are still fat.  Make the sizes like mens where it goes by the circumference of your waist.  If you do not want to wear a size 52 then loose weight.

Yes that sounds harsh but it is what it is.  I have about 7 different sizes of jeans because they are made so drastically different.  Same with shoes. I bought a pair of Reebok tennis shoes off Amazon.  The size I have always worn in that type shoe.  It was about 2 inches too long for my foot.  I was so mad.  And I can't find the shoes in any store because as soon as they get any in that will fit me somebody comes in and buys them ALL.

Some times in a store all I find is small and medium, but that is because all the large and x-large are sold out (or their might be one left but in an awful color)

hello everyone
so i was  helping my friend shop for some clothing this weekend and we went to 4 different stores
because she couldn't find anything in her size  and i mean granted she was looking  for all white  clothing
for religious reasons   and we found white stuff but whether it was a shirt or dress  there just didn't seem to be anything  in her size  and by the last store she was starting to get discouraged  so i was thinking to myself  i wounder if places like Ross and other big named stores  were purposely only putting small and medium sized clothing out and prejudices against
full figured  and plus sized women possibly even men   which i think is    so messed up considering that Ross is nothing more than a thrift store with a fancy name  but i feel like i remember when Kmart got sued because they didn't carry plus sizes  idk  let me know what you guys think .

I know how you feel when I was big I had a hard time shopping for clothes. All the clothes I liked didn't come in my size which I find very irritating. I personally think that there should be sizes for every body type not everyone is a size 6 I know I'm not. Nonetheless we can't just assume that clothing stores are purposefully not having the right size for everyone. The best thing to do is try to find the right clothes and be patient even though it is the fourth store you went inside.

Think we all have had this problem at one time in our life no matter what size you are.  I am short and pants have always been a problem for me.  Always have need them shortened.

Not only plus size people have problems,i am petite and i can't find shoes or clothes.it's not right.

From what I've always noticed, all stores seem to think that plus size women do not like beautifully designed clothes.  As to why your friend could not find her size is because they discriminate against plus sizers.

Try ordering online or going to plus size stores.  It's difficult to find white items in almost any size.
