I know people whose families get closer the older they get and I know people who are just like you described.  You can call it sad and I do understand that.  But not everyone's family has people worth being close with.  We never really know someone else's situation.

I do and it makes me feel blessed. I really miss my Mom though. It's empty without her.

Most of my side of the family has passed away. I live in Georgia but my father lives in Ohio. I have no siblings. My husbands 3 older brothers live in the area.

My family used to be really close when I was growing up...but as we get older, our lives have taken us different places and we don't see each other or talk nearly as much as we used to.
