Bug Protein
« on: July 02, 2018, 04:17:58 pm »
I did a survey today and it asked if I heard of Bug Protein?  And would I try it?  Would you try eating a bug or bugs in a recipe?  I am kinda curious to taste one....so I said yes.  (hope they don't send me a box of bugs now)  ;D ;D

wow ... The only way I would eat a bug is if I was going to die if I didn't.  Otherwise, I'll pass on the bug protein >>> LOL

I heard some bugs are good for protein, but I wouldn't eat them.

Oh, heck, to the "No!"  I would have to be starving to death before I would consider a bug.  UGH!!  Of course, some of my distaste is cultural.  Far Eastern cultures eat all kind of things, including almost every part of the animal.  However, I would literally vomit in some cases!

If it was the only thing left to keep me alive, I would eat the bug, his aunt, cousin and grandpa.  Since I have choices right now, I'll pick something else to eat.

::) When I was in the US ARMY, I took survival training ok?  Well me and the other troops had to live off the land so, We ate things a billy goat wouldn't eat. I'm talking about raw snails. ants. grubs, worms etc. Insects believe it or not are full of protein. :o

Bugs are supposed to have a lot of protein in them and I bet they aren't awful if prepared the right way (fried with onions and peppers?). If you were starving and had no other option I bet you would eat them.

I never done the survey, but I'm pretty sure that even if I try it I would vomit right away so its a BIG no for me on trying it.
