Weekends; no different than M-F
« on: May 19, 2018, 09:23:57 am »
There are so many people working 2 jobs nowadays. I used to do this, but I feel so much better now that I can get 8 hours of sleep and relaxation. I had to change some of my habits, but it was worth it to me.

Most people do not work 2 jobs. A few may but most do not.

I used to work 2 jobs but my schedule was too irregular,  so I quit them both and got one full time with regular hours (I work all overnights).

I work two jobs - one full time, another part time...don't have a lot of free time - just trying to make sure I have enough to support myself and save $!

:fish: :moon: :fish: For some folks the weekends seem like the same as the rest of the week, for some others the weekends are enjoyed by the ones that don't have jobs on the weekends. Hope that you can find some moments that don't seem the same as other days!  :fish: :moon: :fish:

For us retired folk that is definitely true.  I don't even know what day it is most of the time and most of the time could care less. When I worked it was different though because the weekend meant more time with my husband and sons.

The large number of people that I have in my circle of influence have a second source of income and rarely have a day to themselves. It is not cheap to live these days-especially if you have children. My kids are back from college and the refrigerator gets filled and emptied on a weekly basis. The kids seem more ravenous as college kids than they ever did before. Health insurance costs have gone through the roof in the last year coupled with rising homeowner's insurance, automobile insurance, and the highest gas costs we have seen in three years-expenses in general are way higher. Any one of my jobs would have us covered but I keep them all because of the uncertain future. My daughter has a healthy, well paying internship this summer and is still looking at taking on a second job.
