Your body knows what's happening now you better figure out why.

I just hate the idea of staying overnight in an out patient facility.

I haven't but one of my brother-in-laws did and he, too was put on a sleep mask with oxygen.  My sister said it made a big difference.  My husband needs one I'm pretty sure but he won't even mention it to his dr. much less have a sleep study done.

A couple of times over the last 20 years I have been wearing a CPAP. It saved my life!

When I first found out I had a problem was when I was driving to a customers location and woke up with an air bag in my face. I decided I had to do something.

Wow.  Would you mind telling me how old you were then?  I'm going to be 68.  I don't think age really has anything to do with it.  My ex has it and he doesn't smoke, drink, drug, nothing.  But he has allergies.

Yes I had it done along time ago. I had it done because they wanted to know whether or not to take my tonsils out. They wanted to see how I was breathing while I slept.

Age definitely has nothing to do with it.  I consider myself to still be relatively young at <50 and I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about three years ago and have been using a CPAP machine ever since.  And from the way I was snoring - I probably could have used it at age 30 or earlier!

The sleep study itself is not that big of a deal - just expensive if your insurance doesn't cover it.  I had a pretty high deductible when I got my sleep study done, so it was almost entirely out of pocket for me.  But thankfully that allowed me to HIT my deductible prior to my gall bladder screaming that it no longer wanted to be my friend and insisted that we end our relationship.
