Changing air filters?

I have a cousin who's an asthmatic  and his family had to move to the mountains so he could breathe easier,on the plus side his grandma was always smoking around him and he didn't die,became a degenerate gambler though because of her  and she's almost 90 and on an oxygen tank in  a clean air area,so filter that.

I have a step ladder. I'm afraid I'll fall off it and injure myself. Lol

I do it every six month to a year depending if it really is dirty or not I even clean the filter if I have to instead of buying a new one.

Your just asking for a favor I would ask.

I wouldn't necessarily knock you for asking your roommate to do it, but don't you have a ladder?  A ladder is generally necessary to do this and with a ladder...you being shorter shouldn't matter.
