It was stated that peroxide helps and I agree.  You may also try a few drops of vitamin E oil in the ear canal.  After about 30 minutes or so, use a bulb syringe filled with warm water to gently flush out the ear canal. 

It may take a couple of times to get relief but I suggest that you give it a couple of days between treatments. 

Whatever you do, don't push anymore with Q tips or anything.  I remember hearing once that the only thing you should put in your ear is your elbow.

Anyway, to remove your elbows from your ears first you will need : 2 cups of baby oil, 1 extra large monkey wrench, and a good friend with a great sense of humor.

I can certainly be your friend with a sense of humor.  LOL  I will have to search for the monkey wrench, though.  The closest thing I have been able to come up with are needle nose pliers.

I've read warm olive oil in the ear helps.  I've had problems with one of my ears for the past few months also.  Hold your nose and blow and that will sometimes open it up.  Kind of like after being on a plane.
