I have a holiday roast beast story

   I'm cooking for Christmas day. The store had extraordinary amount of turkeys. I said I really never roasted a turkey for Christmas always another scrumptious roast.  I picked out one that was the same size same Jennie O brand as the turkey I got at Thanksgiving. There is one difference, my Christmas turkey cost $12.50 and my Thanksgiving turkey cost $30.00 and the  is I get to find out if there is an end difference because I going to cook the same way too. I will remember because my Thanksgiving turkey was over the top in wonderful. I get to see the difference. I will post the outcome in 8 days, have a gr8 day      Merry Christmas

I have found some smaller company's are better in the end... If you ever get a chance, get a home grown bird. I  in days past had a farm and did all my own meat. Its a world of apart.

I hope you have good luck with your turkey.  I have a  little story to tell about a young lady (my sister-in-law) It was her first turkey and of course we were the company. She cooked it and it looked great, only thing is she left the  package of  the heart, gizzard , neck and heart in. My way of thinking no big deal. Her husband saw what she did and insisted she cook another one.  Also to throw this one out. Well he went and found a fresh turkey for her to bake. While he was gone I  went ahead and sliced up the other one and we hid it and then when he came home we cooked the other one with out the innards sliced it up and  mixed all the turkey together. He never  knew the difference.  He bragged on it, ate  a lot of Turkey those few days . She learned a lesson and we still laugh about it.

Not doing a turkey or ham this year.  Changing it up and doing an Mexican dinner.  Everyone seems to be on board for something different.  Well see!!
