We have not had much of that for several years...however the grandkids are moved back, so we are making new ones.

Yay! :rose:

On Christmas Eve we have friends over and we cut up summer sausage and cheese.  We have crackers, dip and a cheese ball.  Also it is a tradition for the kids to get to open one gift and that is pjs.

We don't have any real traditions. We just all get together.

I really love decorating the Christmas tree with my family while listening to Christmas music :) It's such an amazing and comforting feeling doing that. I also love baking cookies.

My family and I bake cookies, eat pizza on Christmas Eve, and have a special meal and then frozen custard for dessert on Christmas Day.

I send Christmas gifts to the homeless, destitute, forgotten and out-of-luck people I know.

Our Christmas tradition used to be reading "The Night Before Christmas" and putting out cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for his reindeer on Christmas Eve. The next morning we'd read out of Luke in the Bible and then open our stocking gifts and then eat a special breakfast. Then we'd open our tree presents from "Santa," and then finally we'd all get ready to go to our extended family's Christmas gathering at lunchtime.

Nowadays, with the boys being a junior in college and a senior in high school, we still do everything the same way, minus "The Night Before Christmas" and the cookies and milk and carrots. :present:

It sounds as if your sons (if they actually are your sons) are still “little” kids at heart.

We get together and make Lefse.  I usually roll the lefse out and the kids (adults) take turns baking it on the lefse griddle.

We used to make a lot of cutout sugar cookies when our kids were little.  This year, my 3 year grandson was my chief helper for cookies :)

My mother and I used to make about 30 different kinds of cookies and candy, then deliver them friends and family.  I gave it up when she died. Now I just make enough for my own family.  Now that I mention this, it might be a good idea to resurrect the old tradition with some younger family members.
