Sometimes alone is a wonderful thing.  You will have a wonderful time at the homeless shelter, which will help with your Holiday mood.

I consider some alone time nice in my case, Like sure its nice to have friends or family around but its also nice to have some Me time stuffing my mouth full of delicious food while watching a good show or movie.

Hi Brian, no it is not lame, you do you  do what you want on that day, that's all it is; just another day. But giving thanks for God blessing you with being able to see thanksgiving. Giving to those in need is a blessing, and you will get your Blessing, Thank God and Amen.

It doesn't sound lame at all - it sounds like you are trying to make the best of your personal circumstances.  I don't know what I am doing have been going to the next county over for Thanksgiving with my deceased husband's youngest sister & her husband but I am in an uproar with my youngest son and his girlfriend so to be honest with you I would rather just be by myself.  Well enjoy your day for whatever it is.   :turkey:

I feel it is an ideal plan!  For a few years now my hubby and I have had nowhere to go so we plan a roadtrip not too far from home.
