address books
« on: December 08, 2017, 10:32:03 am »
my address book is really out of date.
my aunts and uncles are passing away one by one.
friends from the past don't keep in touch much anymore.
the more years that go by, the less I hear from them.
Life marches on and that's ok.

It is sad when things like that happen.  People die, people move away, and some you just lose contact with.  I guess that’s just the way life is.

It's really sad that things like that happen.  I just have everyone in my phones contact list now.  Don't even have a written address book anymore since things changes so often.

I was also looking at my old and tattered address book the other day. It's so full of cross-outs and write-overs that it's almost impossible to read some of the addresses. I'm pondering getting a new address book, but I don't want to go to all the trouble of writing down all the names, phone numbers and addresses again. :(

I try to buy a new address book every year and redo it, taking out those who have died or are no longer relevant to me and updating the addresses of everyone I want to keep up with. It keeps the book looking neat and reminds me of all the situations that have changed over the past year.

That is a really good idea you have to update your address book yearly....sadly, it is something I have not done.

My address book has not been updated in years. I must say I should do that as I have aunts I use to call who have passed away. I really need to update it.
