"These Days", isn't that a name of a Bon Jovi song or album?

Growing up in the 50's and 60's really makes things seem way different today.  Most kids are not taught to respect adults, most of them are extremely spoiled (my grandkids too!) and they're mostly very lazy and couch potatoes lol  I love to play games of all types and have a lot on my iPhone but that's all my grandkids do when they come to visit; play on their phones.  Anyway, enough of my ranting.

I often wonder what my grandfather's reaction would be if he could see how things are now days....  I have seen things in my lifetime that I never thought would come to be.
Have a wonderful day!

Times are different but every generation sees a change.  If you were to sit down with your grandparents or someone of the 'Greatest Generation' verses the baby boomer generation to Generation X, they each would say the same thing.  Times are different.  That's what makes the passing of time so unique.  We can see how things were different and in some ways are grateful for the time in which we grew up and can embrace the now so that we don't have to envy what the new generation is acquiring.

So much has changed in my generation compared to today, but when I thing about the changes my grandparents saw, from coming here in  a covered wagon to seeing a man on the moon. They never had a TV nor did they want one, but they got too see it on  our TV.  Although they loved the radio.  And of course we barely knew what a TV was  when we were young now to these  darn computers, smartphones and tablets and everything in between. Hard for us older ones to keep up now.

AND in the 70s, 80s, and 90s it was different than it was in the 30s, 40s, and the 50s.  Things are always changing.  Unfortunately they are not changing in a good way.

I am a child of the 60's, graduated in 1980, had my child in the late to middle 90's, lot's of things have changed as you grow older, people, aren't as friendly, technology is out of hand, this world revolves around it, no way too escape from it.

I wonder what a person from the 1800's would think of nowadays? I bet they would go crazy. I wonder what we would think of the 3000's.

Things are much different than they were 10 years ago and that is what scares me. Changes are suppose to happen gradually, but I feel they are happening too fast these days.

I grew up in the 90's and it already seems like things are very different today. The technology changes are great but some of the social changes are not, IMO.
