Bean 'n' Franks
« on: July 13, 2017, 09:36:05 am »
I love the smell of pork-and-beans cooking. I did to add the franks. My family liked this dish, but nowadays not as much, I do believe that the smell from cooking is better for you. Do you think this dish is an potluck picnic option? Happy Bean 'n' Franks Day! Have a gr8 day!  :present:

I had baked beans this morning for a snack... it was a special edition baked beans with ginger -- asian themed, by BUSH's.  It was delicious & smelled so good when it was cooking :)

I don't know about a potluck picnic option unless people like to eat it cold....  or if you have a system to keep in warm, then it is fabulous idea :)

Id say its a great option for a potluck :) If your afraid of people liking the hotdogs in it, make another pan without the hotdogs.

I always dump most of the juice that comes in the beans out and replace with molasses, mustard, brown sugar, a bit of ketchup and onion, but Id leave the onion out if your taking elsewhere

I can live without beans & franks but I love franks with sauerkraut.  Some people might not want to deal with the smell when the sauerkraut is cooking but sometimes....

it really hit's the spot.
Have a great day!

We used to have it when I was a kid.  I don't particularly like pork n beans (Campbells) it smells better than it tastes to me it doesn't taste like anything.  The beans I mean. Doesn't taste better than baked beans.

It is ok, but I would rather have the beans without the franks.  I love any kind of banked beans.
