Number one: no one should ever hate anyone else for any reason whatsoever.

Number two: I was made fun of sometimes because I was a "skinny bones." But I don't think I ever made fun of someone else. I still don't like jokes making fun of people that may hurt them unnecessarily.  :peace:

Unfortunately, I have two grandchildren who go to a Christian school and have been bullied, even to the point of a death threat. I think their parents are just going to pull them out of that school.  :(

I don't understand how children can be that cruel. Have their parents forgotten to teach their children about brotherly love altogether? Or are we all setting an example of intolerance towards anyone different from us.  :-[

BTW, I am sorry so many of you were hurt like that in school. Maybe a good consequence of that is that you will teach your own children never to be a bullies themselves.

I was neither bullied or a bully.  I was raised to treat everyone with respect as I wish to be treated.  At the time I didn't realize I was putting on my armor every day - I thank God now that my parents instilled such self esteem in me to not be a victim of bullying. It breaks my heart seeing bullying going on... In fact... as an adult I've stepped in and said something to kids before when no other parent or adult supervision was around.

Kids do what their parents do.  When you talk down to the cashier at McDonald's or Walmart or where ever - yeah they see that.  They hear your conversations and see and hear more than you think.  That is where they learn it.

I don't doubt that this goes on in some schools, but i can't help but think it gets blown out of proportion in the media.  I never saw any type of bullying going on at any point in school.  Maybe I just got lucky!

Were you a bully in school or were you bullied in school?

Hi! :D :)

I was bullied in school because I was a nerd, actually I still am a nerd. I don't understand the point of bullying we should all encourage one another not hurt one another. I think it is even more sad when a suicide comes out of  the bullying.

You are in total denial.  Yes it goes on in schools.  And it is much much worse than what the media shows.  I was bullied and if I set here and told you the things that were done to me you would probably not believe it.   You would think there is no way things could be that bad.  But it was.  Watch the news.  There are kids in the news about once a week lately that kill themselves because they can't take being bullied any more.
