You would have to ask CrowdFlower that question, it's their decision. It has been that way for a long time now.

I thought it was a stupid change, we are going thru Fusion Cash who has our identities verified.  I have a Facebook account but I don't sign up for stuff with it (or play Facebook Games/use their apps),  because they want access to your friends lists and track what you read/like.
It was helpful when the video well ran dry to be able to hunt for a task, usually I could find a research study.  (Just like a survey but you didn't get DQ at the end, you actually get your pennies).

It's because crowdflower is offered on various sites so they want to make sure you're only doing it on one hence it being tied to your Facebook account.

I've never had any of my friends contacted by them and I think you can choose to "opt" out of that if I remember right..I don't see it as a big deal as a lot of things are doing that now

Just because you have a Facebook account to logon to CrowdFlower (and others), does not mean you need to post anything to it. What's the big deal?

Not that any website is immune to the threat of hacking but Facebook, in my opinion, has shown itself to be more lax than  other sites that I use.  It isn't enough that murders and suicides are recorded for the whole world to see; one of the latest online scams has to do with a questionnaire asking where you have spent your vacation over a recent time period.

Hackers have used that info to find out passwords that users have made in order to try to hack into their other personal accounts.  It seems as though Facebook is having a hard time trying to keep up with all of this junk.  Even if you only have a blank account to use for Crowdflower, does that mean you don't have to worry about a hacker on FB?

Maybe that's the big deal?  I don't know.  Try to help me out here and put my mind at ease.

If you have an account that isn't tied to anything else what would you be worried about being hacked? I have a twitter account just to sign up for things and enter contests that is tied to my junk email address. People have tried to hack that but it's not connected to any of my personal information and I don't use the same password for that for anything else
