I think you really do get a car, BUT you have to be one of the top sellers.  If you decide to sell the products please don't think they immediately hand you a car, doesn't happen that way, if it did we would all sell her products!

I worked for another skin care company long ago, and it's allot of hard work to get into a Car and making allot of money as they claim you can. That company has to be your whole life to be at that level and you'll need to live, breath, and eat Mary Kay if you want to drive their car.  I was at the top of the heap with the company I worked with and was flying high getting nice prizes, going on trips and about ready to get a set of keys to their car plan.... when my father had his first heart attack, i spent some time helping my dad with our family's business, explaining I needed time to get family matters in order ....they sent in people to help keep my group going.... 6 weeks later my dad had a second heart attack that took his life and I said I needed a month or two just because.  Long story made short... they keep my group going alright and because I wasn't pumping out orders and selling product I was swept under the rug...   Read the contract very well before you sign it... Words of advice " If it's too Good it's no Good"  I think If I was every going to sell for a Company again I'd pick Avon. They have stuff every one can uses!

Most end up losing money selling it, but there are exceptions.

I used to use Avon products. ....sold it door to door.
I used Shaklee products.....sold it door to door and hosted some parties with other sales people. I met some nice people; made friends and got to know my neighbors.
I used Mary Kay products....went to a number of parties.
Guess what, they all have chemical ingredients.
I don't wear makeup anymore. ....lipstick rarely.
Victoria Principal sells products that are made from real stuff.... no extra ingredients.

I was lucky to be selling for a pure skin care company with out the chemical ingredients, problem was the company it self was toxic as were some of the people. Greed is by far a nasty ingredient.

And....some people are naturally good at sales.  I would imagine that you have to be an overachiever to get a car as one of the perks.

I look at it this way:

If you think you'd like that type of work enough that you'd be willing to do it for free.....

dive in and go after it.  We all deserve to be passionate about the type of work we do.
Have a great day!

My cousin used to do Mary Kay. That was a few years ago, I think she had trouble getting clients. I went to a Mary Kay party of hers once. Just about everything was too expensive for me.
