Canada has one year of paid maternity leave. Don't know much about that believe moms in the U.S. would love it. Especially if the money was good or close to what they normally make.

We ar the only one the major countries who do no have healthcare for everyone and the maternity/paternity leave.

I'm not sure I fully understand - does the mother and father get paid for the year they are on maternity/paternity leave? That seems like a good deal, who has to pay them the employer or does the government fund it?

Canada has a very good health plans, we should copy them.

A full year for moms, at least a few months off for dads.  As for who pays, it's more government.
