someone once gave me some good advice for life
"take it as it comes."
there are times when I dwell on things too much.
everyday choices that don't change are predictable.
once in awhile I buy something special.
some things do make a big difference: a new piece of furniture, a much needed accessory for mobility.
I try to allow myself to "just wait and see" how life will be better....because sooner or later, it is.

i try not to dwell on things but i fail miserably most the time --and you are right rewarding yourself is a nice change and it helps my nerves lol

I am still super thrilled with the Christmas gift I bought myself of a 40 inch 4K resolution smart TV to use for my computer monitor (plus watch a few HD Movies on) and I see it every day for more thrills, just because.

I could never wait to see what life will bring.  You make things happen if you want a happy life.  Waiting for something may never come around.  This is why the  Lord gave us a brain - to think with.  That sounds like you are waiting for someone else to make decisions on behalf of you life-NOT.

That's some good advice. It's definitely hard for me to follow that at times but it's so important. Thanks for sharing!

That is true for me too, I have a strong hold on my spiritual life, I sometimes feel that if I don't go to church I'm missing something, you wonder what did the Preacher talked about, we have a women's class also, but we have different classes for each group, like children's church, men's group, teen group, so we have teachers for all groups. We make CD's during church so if someone can't be at church that day they can get to hear his sermons, it's awesome.
