so what are you doing on halloween

Just relaxing at home with my honey

We usually set up two fire pits, fifteen or so chairs, a cooler filled with treats for parents, and a large basket of candy for children on our front lawn. Eery music will be streaming from our house. We sit back and enjoy the company of neighbors, the warmth of the fire, a few goodies from the adult cooler and all the imaginative little costumes. This Holiday appeals to me much more than any other. New Years Eve is too big of a drunk fest, Fourth of July gets too crowded  with the drive home from wherever you go to see fireworks. Christmas is still good but too many people like it for the retail/commercial side of it. Halloween is it.  I would like to go somewhere for Dia de Muertos some time because I love the concept, skulls and skeletons.

I will be working.  Our town closes down a section of main street for the kids to come door to door to the merchants....and other groups decorate cars/vans and hand out candy in that safe section of the street

Just giving out candy usually have a few kids. Like the little ones who come by.Once a 40yr old woman came by herself my thought crack head gave her candythough.

Halloween is going to be tricky this year because my two sons are starting to get too old to go trick or treating (they're at that awkward stage where dressing up is not cool), but they do want to benefit from the candy!! Also, my favorite scary thing to decorate my house with is a huge spider which jumps out at you when you pass. It triggers very easily and in years gone by, it has really frightened the little kids, which takes the enjoyment away from it which is a shame because it cost so much money.
