Has rewardingways seen better days?
« on: October 08, 2016, 04:57:14 pm »
Yesterday (Friday) I went to log into my account on rewardingways to earn my pittance when to my complete surprise, found they have locked my account because I'm a "cheater". This same bs happened to my account on slicethepie, their reason as they told me was because they detected I was using a proxy. Well, I don't know what game these sites are playing but I was not using a proxy and I haven't done anything even close to cheating on RW (that would be obvious to anyone who looks at my earnings!). So, I sent then a support ticket telling them that I'm surprised to see my account in an unusable state and that I hope they correct the problem. I went on facebook and saw that other people are dealing with the same issue but their posts are dated four or five days prior to mine and RW said they are working to fix the issue. Why is my account still locked? I'm thinking that the best thing to do is once my account is back online, I should cash out and say goodbye to these REAL cheaters! What say you? >:(

I say stick with reliable, trustworthy sites...and Fusion cash is the best. If they are pulling shenanigans you need to cut them off and turn them in to the half a dozen sites that provide 'buyer-beware' notices. I started with fusion cash over seven years ago and have never been let down. If one of the cash earning programs that fusion cash offers becomes defunct (like radio loyalty) fusion cash has several others that take the place. If there are less videos offered there appears to be more surveys available. When I started with fusion cash I tried about sixty other sites. Ten of these sites still exist while the other fifty followed the route that you are currently suffering through. It is a shame that you lost time and earnings but you gained a valuable lesson about companies that you can not trust.

I have never heard of either site you mentioned.  I don't even know what a Proxy is. lol  Ranting on here won't do you much good. lol.  We can't do anything.  If you get too smart they can not ever unlock your account and you will loose all your earnings.

@Tresbn00 - I know, I wish more sites were like this one but unfortunately most are like rewardingways where they are dishonest and only work well for a limited time, very disappointing!

@countrygirl12 - I don't mean to rant, I was just curious to know the experience of others who have been members of rewardingways. I'll probably cash out my earnings and cross them off my list if they do actually give me access to my account again.

I haven't heard of that site, but I'm glad I never got involved. They would probably wait until I had accumulated enough points to cash out, and then accused me of using a proxy, because I have satellite internet, and I think they do use a proxy, even though I have no control over it. Legitimate sites don't do that; they trust their members and know that various ISPs have their own protocols that are beyond the control of the users.

"A proxy or proxy server is basically another computer which serves as a hub through which internet requests are processed. By connecting through one of these servers, your computer sends your requests to the proxy server which then processes your request and returns what you were wanting."

Basically, it's using 2 computers instead of one. HOWEVER, your modem or router can be used as a Proxy. It has happened with some of our old equipment, there are ways around it, but it's usually a pain. you have to first identify WHERE the proxy is. Then change all the settings. Comcast had at one point been a proxy for us and they had to fix it on their end because it isn't supposed to do that!
