September 11th anniversary

I was getting ready for work when I saw the 2nd plane hit on TV.  I didn't know what I was watching. I didn't know what to make of it.  Then the news made it clear.  My husbands plane was grounded and he couldn't get home. I watched a documentary on 9/11 on the History channel which was very good.  There were so many brave people who did what had to be done with no thought for there own well-being. Its inspiring.

It was my junior year in high school and I was in English class.  We turned the tv on just in time to see the second twin tower get hit.  One of the clearest memories I have in my life.

I was at school when a friend told me the twin towers were hit...I didn't really grasp the whole situation until I got home...though school was very gloomy that afternoon...one of my teachers knew someone or had a connection with the flight that went down in PA so she was anxiously on the phone a lot of the afternoon....#neverforget

I was watching something on tv and my Mum told me to change the channel. Something happened. I thought it was an accident of some kind. Then the 2nd plane hit and we knew it was no accident.

I was driving and had a cd in. I had no idea what was going on until I reached my destination a few minutes after 9AM. I was opening a small store and we had a TV in the back room. The military recruitment offices were next door. They were all waiting for me so they could get inside my store to watch my little tv. They only knew what they could hear over the radio.
