referral help

I asked most of my family and friends but none of them seem interested in joining through my referral link. Does anyone have any ideas for getting people to join? I don't want to lie to them or anything though so please keep your answers legit. Don't tell me to post a video saying "Join now for a free $500 sign up bonus!". i don't want to lie to people.
