I never buy a used car because you are buying someone else's problems.  No car dealer ship is not going to tell you the truth as to why the auto was returned.

Make sure they're being fair with you and don't sign anything unless you feel good about what you're getting.

Keep in mind that "you're in the driver's seat" because you are the one with the money.  Pun, intended. :)
Have a great day!

Negotiating for a new or used car is something most of us do once every 3 to 10 years and the dealer does it every day. Which one do you think has the advantage?

and....that's exactly why a buyer really needs to be on their toes. :)
Have a great day!

There's something to be said about that feeling that "It's the one!"  I know you didn't get them down to what you wanted, but weigh that aspect against this car being "The one!"  Are you willing to pay the extra amount to get what you were looking for?  It's a difficult situation, I know.  If you don't get this car, it may mean there's something better waiting for you down the road!

If you are not in a hurry, take your time and look at other deals out there, make sure you are not getting a lemon...

My first thought is to tell them where to stick it, and make them honor their price.  But at the end of the day if the price being offered is a good one then it would be hard to pass.

Buying used cars are such a crapshoot when doing it from a dealership. So many things can go wrong.

be sure to get a mechanic to look at it first.  if it's a reputable dealer, they'll let you have it checked out.  as long as they don't have anything to hide.  good luck with the new car!
