shoes for dogs
« on: July 01, 2016, 07:06:32 am »
Hallmark Channel has a show "Home and Family".
It's similar to "Good Morning America"
One segment had a guest on who talked about dogs and how their paws get hot from the pavement. This woman showed everyone a  tiny shoe that fit each of a dog's paws. clever.
It seems that people treat their pets like humans.
Now that summer is here, there are a lot of news clips and show guests talking about safety in the summertime.

When we lived in the Midwest, I had boots for our dog so her paws wouldn't get cold in the snow.  I found after a few tries that it was more hassle than it was worth to try to get the boots on and have them stay on.  Now that we are in FL, it DOES it awfully hot on the pavement, so I carry my baby to the grass so she doesn't burn her paws!  (I know, I am one of THOSE people!)

Booties are a pain in the butt...sometimes you need them if your out in the snow for a long period of time. Some paws will snow ball up...

I can see how shoes and coats for dogs are beneficial, protecting them from the elements.
We have domesticated them & taken them out of their original environments, now they need some assistance, just like people.
