Blogging - Are you new to it!

Blogging 101 - The basics to help those who are new to it get going
What is a blog - a blog/website is a place where you can write, share your thought's, create a place where people can read what you think and feel. You can post just about anything since your in control of your own blog, but what I specifically want to talk about is how can you turn your blog into 1) a website, 2) a way to make money and 3) a way for you to help other's get to know who you are and what your doing online.

Blogging is tough, some people might say its a job, or a way to get those feeling's out. What a blog can do for you is generate you customer's, connect with people, show them that you are human and can make a presence online too. Many people blog about many things, but what blogs I like are one's dedicated to business specifically Fusion Cash. How they talk about way's they made money.

Can you make money from a blog...sure you can, but chances are it takes time to build readers, followers, get comments, get a general response. I for one don't own a blog but have had one in the past and believe me its alot of work posting everyday and posting what topics are trending and new. So today I am going to give you some easy to use ideas of how YOU can generate an income from your blog.

Step one - sign-up for an affiliate company (aka Fusion Cash), Step 2 - copy and paste your referral link and place it into your blog in the "about me page", Step 3 - make sure that you copy and paste all your affiliate banner codes to your blog as well so people who find you online can join if they want to pass go and not collect the $200 dollars, Step 4 - write well on your blog and make sure it sounds professional and sounds like you know what your talking about. Step 5 - Don't be afraid to spend money on converting your blog into a .com website. This way people who follow you will not see a _______@wordpress.com address instead see a ________.com address. Step 6 - always be on the look out for your competition, use http://www.alexa.com/ as a way to track those you feel might be better. Last but not least make sure your blog/website meets the standards of a professional website people will want to visit.

I agree it is not a job.  I have tried it and have a couple of blogs but I can't get anybody to even look at them.  So it is hard to stay motivated.

I had actually thought about it at one time but it didn't work out. It was just too confusing. I did have a godaddy domain and everything and couldn't figure it out what to do so gave it up.

I started a blog a couple of years ago and didn't keep it going. I might start one again at some point, or another kind of website, just with a different niche.
As a side bar, you are not allowed to post your e-mail address here. Just thought you should know.

No, I'm not new to it and most people who blog don't make any money at all. I make money from my blog and I also get referrals for various programs including FC by blogging.

I love blogging.  It's a creative outlet for me.  I need to be able to express myself; whether other people read what I write, or not.  Making money doing it?  Not yet, but I'm open to all possibilities in the future.  I am learning how to drive traffic to my blogs.  I consider blogging my legacy.  It will still be on the internet after I graduate from this life time.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.  Good luck with whatever you do.
Have a great day!

Yes, I've run 2 blogs for years.  Both are with wordpress.  I pay extra so I can use my own URL addresses that do not have the word "wordpress" in them.  I use one of their free templates.
I go through hot and cold spells so far as posting on them.  But have overall kept them up pretty well and have gained many followers.
One is an art based blog that also includes a lot of my general writings, some poetry, and activity of general interest.  The other is a poetry blog.  It is all my original work, accompanied by my original photos or art work.  I use a pseudonym to maintain privacy.   8)  The art based blog also serves as a means of marketing for my artwork.

I really enjoy the process - just need more hours in the day  :)
