maintenance work at a hospital must be a good job with benefits.
some elderly facilities don't pay well.
there is a high turnover unless the person is dedicated on a deeper level.
you do have to like what you do.
your attitude shows on your face.
I have seen many a waitress [server] who was just working to get by.
