It's always good to have people like that, rule are there for a reason no matter how uncomfortable they may seem at time.

I live in a quiet peaceful neighborhood, mainly senior citizens around my area. But I still lock my doors and always will, cause you never know who's lurking behind the bush's. I have never had any exp. of anyone braking in the house or anything to that matter.  We're not living in a paradise world, no matter how perfect the place looks. This world is bond to do more evil then good. We all have to be cautious, no matter what the case is,......*I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are with me oh Lord; your rod and your staff, they protect and comfort me* (Psalm 23:4)

I would rather have a security guard who follows the guidelines to the letter than one who does not.  I know it might be frustrating, having to deal with something you are not used to, and you'll never know if having that door locked could have saved you from harm, but in this age, we never know what might happen.  Better to be safe than sorry!  Your new guard is taking her job seriously.

We have to be extra cautious now - especially before the holidays.  We lock our door as soon as it starts to get dark.

I make sure the patio door and window are locked.. I heard reports that some people go on top of roofs to steal stuff like bikes, chairs, etc.

When I was younger I used to live in a big apartment complex and they have doormans there... They help with getting stuff to the elevator and also guard the entrance to the building... I think there is 2-3 guys who rotate, must be pretty boring just staring at the door.. Pretty sure they have something to occupy themselves

This is good to hear, "the safer the better" as my mom always says.  One can never have to much security.  ;)

Once again all you are doing is making a statement about locked or unlocked doors and gates ::) What is your point or the issue for discussion ???  That's ok maybe someday you will comprehend what things are like a FORUM.  8)
